THE MTN Basketball League second round tips off this evening after a two-week recess with two games on hand.

The league that was supposed to start last weekend was postponed due to contractual issues that were being settled between local hoops governing body, Fuba, and league sponsors MTN (U) Ltd.

Federation technical man Edmund Lumu confirmed to Daily Monitor that the league will resume today. "Everything is now done to let the league resume tomorrow (today). The games that were not played last weekend will be fixed at the end," Lumu said.

Third placed Lady Bucks visit Nabisunsa Girls for their opening round two encounter in Banda. The record league winners will be aiming for a win to keep their play offs hopes alive with new signings.

Former Nabisunsa students Sarah Namiro and Agatha Bafuna return against their former side, with stalwarts Miriam Birungi, Frances Nabulobi and Flavia Okecho available.

However, Nabisunsa's Charlene Kalungi, Joyce Zalwango and Halima Nabusimba have matured into the game and are expected to offer resistance. Elsewhere, Lubiri takes on Family Planning Association of Uganda (FPAU) in Division II.
