THE MTN league on Sunday took a different twist after giant killers Warriors jumped on top of the ten-team table following a 64-27 win over relegated Najja High School.

From the table standings released by the federation technical committee at their office in Wandegeya yesterday, the Kyambogo based side went top with 23 points from 13 games with a better points average of 200.

Warriors displaced defending champions Nkumba University Marines who have same number of games played and points collected but with a minor goal average.

Federation of Uganda Basketball Associations (Fuba) technical committee chairman Yunus Nkutu explained that Warriors came on top with a better point differential in head-to-head games.

Warriors' 58-48 and 73-65 respective victories over Marines and Sadolin Power guaranteed their better position
