RWANDA : Egypt plots third win, bitter for vacating Alpha

Kenya v Burundi (men)
Ethiopia v Egypt (men)
Kenya v Burundi (women)

Egypt have their eyes set on today’s clash with Ethiopia as they plot to seal their third consecutive triumph at the on-going All Africa Games qualifiers/Zone V basketball championship.
After picking convincing victories over hosts Rwanda and Burundi, the event’s favourites are expected to have an easy evening against a side that is yet to register a win at the competition.
Ethiopia have succeeded in being mere participants rather than competing at this championship, conceding successive defeats at the hands of Kenya, Burundi and hosts Rwanda.
Egypt, who has expressed dissatisfactions with the event organisers (Ferwaba ) after they were yesterday forced to vacate the Alpha Palace Hotel, following Rwanda Bureau of Standards reports that the hotel’s sanitation levels were below standards, need a win to seal their dream of qualifying for the All Africa Games.
The Egyptian side w as yesterday moved to La Pallisse Club, about one and half kilometres from the competition venue. The hotel is expected to accommodate the Pharaohs to last day of the event.
Rwanda Bureau of Standards reports, comes in the wake of the national women team’s stomach-ache and feverish complaints, following what described as food poisoning from the same facility.
