NIGERIA : Nigeria went down to Turkey 91-82

Nigeria U19 national team this evening lost its third straight game of the FIBA U19 World Championship holding in Novi Sad, Serbia to Turkey by 91-82 points to finish last in group-C.

Kano Pillars and Dodan Warriors basketball club small forward Ibrahim Adamu Yusuf led the squad with a game high of 29 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists while Kennys' Bullets guard Michael Ohiero poured in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists just as Emmanuel Negedu added 10 points, 6 rebounds for the African champion who will now play a classification match next Monday for the 12-16 place.

With the victory over Nigeria Turkey now finish second behind group leader and championship defending champion, Australia with 5 points from three match.

Other results of games already decided Saturday the last day of group matches of the championship saw France defeating Lebanon by a whopping 100-58 points, mali went down to China by 59-46; Australia posted an 81-70 points victory over Canada while Lithuania succumb to the superior fire-power of Brazil 81-75.

The games between Argentina and Puerto Rico and that of Spain against Korea was still on at the time of this report.
