NIGERIA : Yelwa Hawks battles Comets, Union Bank

Visiting Savannah Conference team, Yelwa Hawks basketball club of Bauchi will today (Thursday) continue its road trip campaign to the Atlantic conference when it take on Ebun Comets basketball club of Lagos at 19.00 hours in Lagos.

The Bauchi-based side who has a record of 1-2 with one unresolved match against Delta Force (Men) basketball club of Asaba looks forward to a real test as it confront the Comets who has gone through some bashing lately.
Comets who lost two straight games in the premier and Lagos city leagues to Union Bank and Whales basketball clubs seek a lifeline against the Hawks from Bauchi.
The Hawks will round-off its adventure to the Atlantic conference Saturday against Union Bank basketball club in a game that promises to be a thriller.

....Local derby in Kano, Jos

The city of Kano will be agog as two home sides Kano Pillars and AHIP basketball clubs entertain their fans in a Savannah conference Nigeria Basketball Federation, NBBF organized Premier league.
Pundits are giving it to the Pillars due to the players on their roster and experience but the AHIP side are capable of springing surprises.
Another local derby will be in Jos, Plateau State capital when Tapgun Rockets host city favorites, Plateau Peaks basketball club.
And in Lagos fans will be treated to the best of basketball action as three top games on the bill on Sunday.
At 14.00 hours Nigeria Customs basketball club (Men) will do battle against Ebun Comets basketball club.
The match promises to be a thriller especially with the return of runaway Customs experience off-guard, Abdulrahman Mohammed and point guard Priwitt Gagara, Comets led by Dennis Ebikoro are surely in for a big challenge.
And at 16.00 hours Islanders look forward to a pay-back period against visiting Delta Force (Men) basketball club of Asaba.
The first meeting between the two side had ended 71-70 in favour of the Asaba-based Force while the last match of the day comes alive at 18.00 hours between 2007 Lagos City league finalists, Union Bank and Dodan Warriors with the Warriors spoiling for a pay-back after losing to the bankers in the first leg.
