SEYCHELLES : Sanken Basketball Cup - Rockers complete men’s semifinal line-up

MBU ROCKERS completed the semifinal line-up in the men’s Sanken Cup with a narrow win on Monday at Victoria Gymnasium.

The Rockers left it late, winning the fourth quarter 26-16, to come out on top of RC Dynamics on a 78-73 score to set up a semifinal date with Men’s Division One League champions Baya. The match is scheduled for tomorrow at 5.15pm at Victoria Gymnasium.
Swingman Cyril Agrippine led all scores with 27 points and playmaker Nigel Sinon added 24 in the Rockers’ victory.
As for RC Dynamics, who led 21-12 at the end of the first quarter, 33-32 at half-time and 57-52 at the start of the fourth quarter, they were paced by Jean-Paul Camille with 24 points, and James Joubert made an 18-point contribution.
Baya walked over Juniors last Saturday and dumped Beau Vallon Heat 85-50 on Sunday to seal a place in the semifinals.
Today’s first semifinal is between PLS Hawks and Anse Etoile. Defending champs Hawks trounced Division Two winners Mont Fleuri Dawgz 89-30 last Saturday and the following day they got the better of former league and cup winners Premium Cobras on an 89-78 score.
As for second division outfit Anse Etoile, they walked over two top-flight teams – Cascade Bullets and Razors – during the weekend.
