Regional champions Co-operative Bank of Kenya and Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) who won the titles in Uganda last year will lead a strong Kenyan charge with the other two being the national champions KCB Lions and Eagle Wings.

The team on focus will be the self supporting Wings. Thomas Olumbo's girls can forget what happened in the the Kampala tournament last year and focus on becoming one of the top regional clubs during the seven day tournament. They surely can do it.

Kenya sent five teams to Kampala last year and all of them did well to make it to the semi finals. KPA men, who were league runners up is the only side out. A record 19 clubs took part in the show.
In a related development, former KBF chairman Agina Wesonga has declared his candidature for the zone five presidency. The elections will be held before July.
Agina will be battling against Morris Aluanga for for the regional presidency. Agina who also succeeded Aluanga at the helm of KBF says he is ready to carry the mantle.
