RWANDA : Espoir Take On 30-Plus Seeking to Stay Top

National basketball league leaders Espoir BBC take on newcomers 30-Plus on Sunday at Kimisagara Youth Centre seeking to make it 15 straight wins.
The three-time winners are the only unbeaten team in the league this season and a win would push them closer to the title, the first since 2004.
Espoir head coach Jean Bahufite is confident that his team has one hand on the league title but has cautioned his players against complacency has nothing has been won yet.
"The players are hungry to win not only the game on Sunday but also the league, if we can achieve that with an unbeaten record that would make it even sweeter," the former Espoir player told Sunday Sport on Friday.
Bahufite added, "I have full confidence in my team to beat anyone in the league, so I hope we can stay at the top until the end. We had a brilliant start to the season and I hope the guys will keep up the winning spirit."
The Nyamirambo-based side lead the league standing with 28 points from 14 games, while their opponents 30-Plus are sixth on the eight-team table with 19 points albeit having played a game more than most teams.
